Welcome!
I’m glad to have you here.
My name is Lauren Meichtry, and I am an artist, designer, and maker located in Chico, California, with a specialty in map making and information design.
Please explore my portfolio of past projects and reach out for any collaborations, commissions, and questions by email at Meichtrydesign@gmail.com.
I am taking a pause on accepting new commissions for the season to focus on personal art projects and current client work.
Stay tune for when I am accepting new clients. Thanks! :)
My art focuses upon “sense of place” and the extraordinary communities that can be created.
The Imaginary Cities series encourages the viewer to imagine a more inclusive, better connected, and empathetic world.
I’ve held a deep love for maps and instruction manuals since I was little.
Fascinated by how things work and how cities are structured, I spent much of childhood drawing imaginary cities and diagrams. I continued studying drawing in high school and explored various mediums at Chico State including wood and fabric sculpture, and arc welding. I graduated Chico State with a BA in Visual Communications (Graphic Design) and a minor in Small Business Entrepreneurship. My most recent public art project was codesigning the 2024 Puzzle Show.
